Naw, I didn't win anything.
It was at the Folklorama Inaugural Ceremony. Folklorama is Winnipeg's annual folk festival - the largest festival of it's kind in the world. This year, there were 43 pavillions showcasing food, drinks, attire, song, dance, arts, crafts among other things that their culture has to offer. The way Folklorama works is actually quite interesting. Each pavillion puts on shows 3 times a night and people come and watch the entertainment, eat the food, visit displays and such. It's actually very fun. Each pavillion also has 4 ambassadors. The ambassadors represent their own pavillion, or country, and visit other pavillions as a VIP. Kinda like how ambassadors actually work in the real world I guess. I was the youth ambassador for the Chinese Pavillion (hence the sash). This is why I was kinda absent from the board for 2 weeks - shit to do. But yea, it was great fun, and the two girls I'm with are two very close friends of mine. Great night.
