The Introductions Thread
Introduce and talk about yourself. :) I'm TheImplodingVoice, also known as Chris, and I'm the founder of this board. I'm 16 years old, and I live in Canada. I'm a big fan of Billy Corgan, the Pumpkins, MAdM, Nirvana, Hole and many other bands. I play guitar, been playing for about a year now. I want to take on bass soon, and hopefully drums, but I don't think I'm coordinated enough :P.

My name's Josh, and I'm 16 (well, almost) and live in good 'ole sunny California. I've been a massive Pumpkins fan for the past year, and have been commonly called obsessed by my friends and family. I'm eagerly awaiting theFutureEmbrace and have chosen not to give in to temptation and listen to it off his myspace... I prefer the "pure" form. Other than that, I'm an Objectivist (which is an exquisite political party/philosophy... tough to explain, so I'll say I'm roughly a libertarian). On the off chance that any of you have heard of Nationstates.net, I'm Objectivist Chimpz. On the subject of online entities, my Xanga is http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=Bean89182. Besides the Pumpkins, I'm also a fan of Nirvana, R.E.M., Oasis, and a bunch of other bands, but those are my main favorites. That's about it, I'd say.

I'm originally from the Billy-Corgan.com boards, I singed up a year and a half ago there, and I'm still addicted. I have a feeling most members here are also from there. I'm Thom/The_Killler_In_You, from Englandia also a b-c addict although that has now come to an end. I'm 18, I play guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums, Clarinet and I sing. In september I'm starting a music production/popular music studies degree course. I predict many guitar-based discussion already :P um... thats about it. we should have a instruments thread-- for strategic showing-off purposes

I'm Marieke from Holland, 19 years old. Brought here by Niek (I of the Mourning).. who else ;) He showed me around in the world of the Smashing Pumpkins a year ago.. and it was quite a world that opened up for me.. I've fallen in love with the music, and that's how it still is. I play guitar and cello, and I sing, sometimes. I love a good book, but even more music. Music is my life. Favourite bands (other than SP, BC): Radiohead, JJ72, dEUS, Björk, Low.

Ah, I was looking for this thread. I am obviously Black Swan, I live in Canada *waves to fellow Cdn*. my bf has been a huge SP fan for 9 years, and it only occured to me 3 years ago to actually listen to this band I heard about all the time. Now my bf is so-so about SP, and I can't stop listening and talking about them! Anyways, I am 22, in university, and just relaxing this summer. I llike Auf der Maur, SP, the Used, Alexisonfire, Radiohead, and some others. (I don't like Hole at all ;) ) I am mostly into post hardcore music. Question about avatars, I feel silly, but I can't get mine to work. It says it can be a max og 6kb. The one I want is 78 KB, how the hell do I get it small enough to be acceptable???

*waves* My name is Jessica, known as pumpkin jessica by the auf der maur board natives. I'm 13 (14 on july 12!) I find it weird how I turned four the exact day Jonathon Melvoin died and Jimmy overdosed...Odd how someone's life can fall apart at the same time someone else is celebrating. Anyway, enough of that! I've been a Pumpkins fan since December 31st, 2003, reading Eiljah Wood interviews. I constantly saw the name Smashing Pumpkins when they asked him about his favorite bands, so I figured (since Elijah and I are definately getting married!) that I had to like the same band as he did. So I downlaoded a few songs. In order: "1979 live acoustic," "Landslide," "A Night Like This," "Bullet." And by the time I heard "Bullet" I was HOOKED. The next day I asked my friend will if he had heard of them and he said "Yeah, I have one of their albums I can burn for you." And then I had MCIS and the rest is history! I live in Rockford, IL of the US of A...two hours away from the Windy City! Very cool! :roll: I love books, and I worship Dean Koontz...the grea-*test*-('") author ever! I'm a total freak for Lord of the Rings, and Cate Blanchett is by far my favorite actress. Some of my favorite bands other than SP, and Zwan are: Auf der Maur, The Cure (can't believe they havent been mentioned!), Queen (<333!!!), Led Zeppelin, The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, Pearl Jam, and Earshot. Those are the main bands, but I like some others. The Backstreet Boys, for example. If only I were kidding. I shouldn't have said that. I can't help it, though...I'm just a little teenage girl with a love for harmonized high-pitched boy singers...who can dance! ha...don't hate me!
