Poker
Hey, I'm a huge Texas Hold 'Em fan, I watch it on TV all the time, and I play online about 3-4 times a week, and me and my friends play together in a home game every weekend. Anyone else here love to play poker? -Chris

Absolutely... WPT, I watch all the time. I actually saw Gus at an airport in Vegas, it was so cool. Still forced to play with friends and family only... I have a ways to go before 21.

I recently started watching Late Night Poker, Amateur British Champion or something. I thought it would be boring but it was actually rather endearing. The more I began to understand it the more interested I became. I thought about playing online but never got around to it.

Ah.. the joy of poker... I play poker with a bunch of university guys who love to gamble. They have money to burn, I don't know where it comes from, but I'm glad. I make more money playing poker with them than I do actually working. We typically play twice a week, and I've netted a profit of almost $600 in the past 3 months of so, which is good, it gets me by. We had a game today and I got screwed over. The game was Omaha Hi-Lo Split. With A-Q-2-3 in my hand, I made a raise pre-flop from the big blind and got 3 callers. The board comes Q-Q-3, and I flopped a full house. The small blind bets, and I smooth call, and the other caller calls. The board comes a 7. He bets, I call, caller calls. The river comes a K. He checks, I bet, the other guy folds and the small blind checkraises me all in. There is no qualifying low on the board and I thought I was going to scoop. I call. He flips over Q-7-8-3, with a full house queens full of sevens. He calls my preflop raise with a marginal hand out of position and gets lucky on the turn. Lost a lot of money on that hand. A lot of money... *sigh*
