there is nothign wrong with political views in music look at RATM they are brilliant the problem is when you do it like greenday who say a lot of nothing very loudly! I agree. Some of my favorite bands are highly political, and I have no problem with that (even when I disagree with their views, as I often do). However, to do political music properly, one has to be somewhat knowledgeable about politics and how to convert one's views into music. Bands that suddenly go from being non-political to political bands run the very high risk of ending up like Green Day did. Bands that are/were political for their whole careers (Rage, R.E.M.), tend to do it quite well. It's possible for a band to change directions and go that route successfully, but it's also very likely for it to not go well.

I think it's just bit of a joke or like, personal politics or something something dumb, then it'll be hella different when it comes to be something

There really hasn't been a band that has broken up and gotten back together that was exceptional or even more than note worthy. Period. And I hate to say that and put almost a prejudice on the band before I can hear any of the new stuff, but I am really doubtful at this point. Look, the flag is lame. And suddenly and I really afraid because of it. Its counter intuitive; the Pumpkins I know are much more complicated than they are letting on. And so I am hopeful and optimistic, but, man.

basically the flag means nothing look at other pics the pumpkisn have had, pointless itll probs just go out on some tshirt and caps and whotever and thatll be it i can't see billy changing his lyrical style so lets just wait and see what happens
