Music on SP's myspace
As the title suggests, music has been finally been added to SP's myspace. Unfortunately, and somewhat predictably, it's not new. As I am posting this, the current tracks are \"Bury Me\", \"Daughter\" and \"Set the Ray To Jerry\". Of course, the commonality being that all the tracks have roots in the pre-gish or Gish eras. I know that the officially released version of \"Set the Ray To Jerry\" was from 1995-96, but if I am remember correctly, it was first written in 1992. Someone on another board guessed that they might be putting up stuff from each era as a sort of countdown to the new stuff (ie a stalling tactic)

^ Regardless if it's old material, it's still exciting I guess.. just cause any movement is good. At least it's not completely in inertia.

That means someone is constantly working on this.. so as long as it's not staying still, I'm glad. At least there's some activity.

It won't play for me neither! :( Sometimes the MySpace player needs some time to buffer. Just wait a bit.

I wonder if they'll put up new demos? Probly not.

I wonder if they'll put up new demos? Probly not. Well.. the cynical side of me says no. But the fan in me wants to say yes. I think there's a chance we'll hear *something* new, but probably not soon. Maybe a month before release or something...

I actually hope they don't put up demos. If they do, it will take all of my will power not to listen. I want to hear the album all the way through without having any exposure to it once it comes out. No demos, no singles. Just the album. We'll see if I can manage that, but I've always wondered what it would've been like to have listened to one of their other albums without already knowing several songs off it just from the radio and thus already gravitating towards them.

That's what I found when I got into them, I liked 1979 off the tv, and asked for MACHINA for Christmas, I found it before Christmas and ripped it to my PC and was amazed... ...Here I am today!

Best of luck to you on that! I've tried MANY times to do that with many CD's I've been anxiously awaiting for.. but I always cave and end up downloading it before I buy it. *sigh*

Well.. the cynical side of me says no. But the fan in me wants to say yes. I think there's a chance we'll hear *something* new, but probably not soon. Maybe a month before release or something... I guess I would want to hear them in their full form first. Maybe they might end up utting demos up after release or do a Machina 2. You only get first impressions once, and you can't un-hear what you have already heard. I'm gonna hold off until the albums finished, and if theres any demos leaked or released, get them after. I might even end up having my first listen on vinyl if they do a vinyl, as soon as that album comes out, it's top of my priority list. I wouldn't forgive myself if I had the power to get the vinyl and didn't, with a limitied run as they did with MCIS. All right! I just bagged myself myspace.com/williamcorgan !
