DC++ Lossless Hub Setup 1. Download the DC++ software. 2. Once DC is installed on your computer, open it. Go FILE, then SETTINGS. 3. Once you are in Settings go to GENREAL, fill in the blanks and choose your connection speed. 4. Next, go to DOWNLOADS. Choose the folder where you want finished downloads to go and the folder where you want unfinished downloads to go. They can be the same folder. 5. Next, go to SHARING. Choose the folder that you want to share at the Hub. Keep in mind that a major rule of the hub is no MP3's, and no commercially availible material, or risk a banning. You are now finished with settings. Click OK 6. Next, go to VIEW, FAVORITE HUBS. Then, click on NEW. This is where you type in the hub information. Under name, put in a name you wish to use to remember the hub. Then, the address is tsphub.no-ip.com:2004 . Hit OK. 7. Turn off the hub software, and re-launch it. Go back to VIEW, FAVORITE HUBS, double click on the SP Hub, and it should connect. Now you can either search for files by going to VIEW, SEARCH, or on the right hand side, double click on users to get their file lists. Remember to read the rules, and have fun. Rules of the Hub 1) READ THE FUCKING RULES. BEING IGNORANT OF THE HUB RULES IS NOT AN EXCUSE WHEN YOU GET YOUR ASS KICKED OR BANNED!!!!! I will not tolerate any of this "I didn't know" or "I forgot to switch folders" bullshit. 2) NO MP3's. Do not debate this. If you don't like this rule, tough shit. Don't log onto the hub then. Break this rule and you are banned. No exceptions. No whining about it either. I don't want to hear it. 3) The only ALLOWED lossless music formats are: - SHN - FLAC - APE 4) DO NOT download a show in one format and re-encode it to another format (example, download a show in SHN, reformat the show to FLAC, then share it on the hub). If you want to re-encode a show for personal use, fine. Just don't share it here. Also, do not re-cut or re-track a show and share it here unless you have the blessing of the original taper or seeder. 5) Anything commercially available is not allowed (both music and film and TV). This also includes music videos until we hear different. No warez/cracked programs of any type allowed. If you haven't figured this out by now you're a freaking moron....seriously. 6) No Porn. Sorry you sick perverts. 7) The following is NOT allowed on the hub: - Billy Corgan 2004-04-19 Metro show - Spun out takes - Gish rough mixes - Zwan rough mixes - Pisces Iscariot portion of PI & Friends - Hideout II Compilation - it's MP3 sourced Share any of these any you will be warned, then kicked, then banned. 8) Don't share incomplete shows that are know to be complete. Wait to share until you have the entire show downloaded. Share what you download (when possible). If it looks like there is a lot of leeching and no sharing, I'll impose a minimum share amount - like a gig or two to keep people honest. 9) I will not put up with people's bullshit about the rules of this hub. I do not play "politics". This is about the music people. Since I don't have a message board, all complaints can be directed to the nearest brick wall. If you are here to share music and chat every once and a while. Great. If you're not, you are part of the problem and not the solution. 10) For the love of god, no dumb fucking arguments about MP3 vs SHN/FLAC. This is a LOSSLESS hub. I'll personlly hunt down those that start this argument and place my foot squarely in your ass. 11) Have fun. Since it looks like fewer and fewer people are bothering to read the rules at least read this one: Share a SINGLE MP3 file and you are banned. Period. Take responsibilty for what you share. NO SECOND CHANCES.
