Coke + Mentos = Explosion
Anyone done this before? In my AP chemistry class yesterday, for no apparent reason, a friend of mine brought this up cause he saw a video of it on YouTube. Curious, my chemistry teacher thought we should try it. So.. while he gave us a b/s assignment, he ran to the 7-11 and picked up a 2-L of diet coke and a few packets of Mentos. We first -*test*-('")ed it out in an Erlynmeyer flask. With a few mL of coke and a Mentos, nothing happened. So, we decided to just do it - keep in mind we were inside. So, we took off the paper wrapper on a package of Mentos and left the foil on, and made some slits into the foil so that when we dropped it in they'd fall out of the wrapper into the coke. We went for it. Coke-geyser. Coolest shit I've seen in a while. It went pretty damn high too, soaked the cieling. It was pretty damn funny. For those who haven't heard this, Google Video it. Cool stuff.

lolz we did that with beroccas once, this little tablets that are meant to make u feel better, they turn to gas in water and come in a little tube so you poor water in wack on the lid and wait for the eplosion :lol:

ive seen this video of these guys putting a big bottle of doctor pepper on their camp fir and it explodes, im not sure if there was anything else in it but it was awesome
